By painting my nail black I commit to the following:
Seeking God
I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Mathew 10:32 says, ”Therefore everyone who confesses Me (Jesus) before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in Heaven”. If I have not yet accepted God’s gift of salvation, I commit to seeking Him and His will in my life.
Prayer and Praise to God
Throughout the day, each time I see the painted nail I will take time to Pray or Praise God. I will say a brief, if not a split second, prayer to God of thanksgiving. Maybe it will be a prayer to ask for help in a difficult time. Sometimes I will praise Him and just thank Him for His goodness and faithfulness.
Witness about the Truth of Jesus Christ
Whenever someone asks me about my painted nail I will share the Truth about Jesus Christ. Paul tells us in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes…” If I have not yet accepted God’s gift of salvation, I commit to seeking Him and His will in my life. In 1 Corinthians 9:24 we learn, “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such away as to get the prize.”
